Willem has a strong history of navigating large, complex organizations and leading and influencing major company-wide cross-functional campaigns.

He was a core leader of Meta’s Tokyo 2020 Olympics cross-functional effort, driving alignment across partnerships, product, sales, marketing and legal. He also led the company’s communications about the Games both externally and internally, resulting in more than 700 pieces of coverage spanning 17 countries.

A key driver behind this success was a daily newsletter, which delivered Olympic-related Facebook and Instagram data to press covering the Games.
